About Us

John Tasolides

Managing Partner

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, John is a product of the New York City Public School System, graduating from James Madison High School. John holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Political Science from New York University and a Juris Doctor degree from the Hofstra University School of Law.

Admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York and the Federal District Court in both the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, John presently conducts a general legal practice with a concentration in criminal defense, DWI/DUI Traffic defense, family law and commercial litigation throughout the New York City metropolitan area.

John has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at New York Law School, a regular instructor for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy and the Hofstra University Trial Techniques Program. He is a former Supervising Senior Trial Attorney in the Homicide Bureau of the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office. He served as the office’s DWI coordinator responsible for the screening of all DWI arrests countywide and the training and supervision of attorneys in the trial of those matters. He was also the representative to the New York City Department of Transportation and New York State District Attorney’s Legislative Lobby on DWI matters.

John has been a guest commentator on the Court Television Network and has been published by the New York State Bar Association, including authorship of materials used throughout the state in their continuing legal education civil litigation training programs. He has also been a featured speaker in the criminal defense training program conducted by the New York County Lawyers Association.

Before starting this firm, John was a partner in the law firm of Lefkowitz & Tasolides, whose representative clients included Cablevision Systems Corporation (acquired by Altice) and Lakeville Medical Labs (acquired by SmithKline Beecham Clinical Laboratories).

Of Counsel

Hedy is actively practicing in residential and commercial real estate property transactions, preparation of wills and trusts and estate Administration with more than 30 years of experience. A proud alumnus of Hofstra University, she received her undergraduate degree in 1983 followed by her law degree from the Hofstra School of Law in 1986. Her connection to her alma mater remains strong, routinely returning as a guest lecturer.
 

Hedy also holds membership in the Real Property and Estate Committees of the Nassau County Bar Association. Her professional engagements extend to the Nassau County Women's Bar Association as well, where she plays an active role as an Officer and Director. Hedy has been leading the NCWBA's Networking Committee for more than a decade, fostering connections and camaraderie among its members.
